One Of My Most Memorable Dating Experience!!!

As I shared in my previous blog, dating was awkward for me. Right when I was about to give up on dating.. I was introduced to a very interesting guy. It was the weekend, and one of my good friends asked me if I wanted to meet someone. I said no! Because I have a cold and I don’t want to be coughing and blowing my nose around someone new, her friend said, ‘he ain’t nobody special’,’ it’s ok’, ‘I really want him to meet you’, ‘I think y’all will get along well’. Even though I had a cold, I was looking cute and had on a cute lil outfit Lol… I said why not? I will meet him.

As soon as he walked in the door, I felt a sense of connection. We were introduced and casually talked and mingled with friends.  We eventually exchanged numbers, and decided we would like to get to know each other. Over time that’s exactly what we did. In the beginning, we didn’t really date. We spent a lot of time talking, I believe we found each other very interesting & mysterious. So we always had lots of questions to ask each other.. By the way… I love a good conversation, this is why this dating experience is most memorable…

 I wasn’t aware at the time, but we were becoming friends before any situationship… Don’t get me wrong we were very attractive to each other, but I remember having a strong sense to resist all the lust as much as possible and really get to know this person.. I stuck with it and surprisingly, so did he… I’m human and so is he, we had our moments but very few compared to what it could have been… By the way, I was a baby christian and at the same time>>>learning, unlearning, growing, trying to live right, trying to follow my heart and make better decisions on who I chose as my significant other with the potential of marriage.

Most of our dates were fun & exciting, and that’s what I needed in my life at that time to give my life balance. As that season passed, I felt myself wanting more commitment, attention, and  time from the relationship than what he was willing to offer… I knew I deserved better! And I knew I had to lose something that I thought was treasure- to- Gain the True Treasure#Partner#Significant Other#SoulMate#Husband that God had laid out for me… 

I moved on……..
